Events that you will want to attend!

For those of you (like me) who are anxiously anticipating the arrival of Jim, Lindsey, and Sarge, here are the dates and times of this year's Team Hero events:

April 26th, 7:00pm, Lindner Hall Room 208- Presentation about military life, PTSD/TBI by Jim and Lindsey (open to students/faculty/staff and Elon community)

April 28th, 10am-4pm, Francis Center Fields- Softball Tournament (bring a glove, sunscreen and your game face!)

About the Cause

Team Hero aims to connect the Elon community with members of the military. We feel there is a major disconnect between civilian and military culture that results in a lack of support for those returning from tours of duty. Team Hero provides opportunities for members of the military and military families to share experiences with students in an effort to create support for those reintegrating into American society.

Team Hero also raises money for Paws and Stripes to sponsor a service dog for a returning veteran with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and/or TBI (traumatic brain injury). Help us to reach our goal of $2,000 -- which is enough to train a service dog and match him with a veteran!
